Skin Care: Cleansers (Step 1)

In other words, soap. Should you just use a regular soap like Ivory off the grocery store shelf? Probably not. Those kinds of soap are all made with harsh alkalines that irritate your skin, strip the skin of natural protective barrier oils, and disturb the skin's natural pH balance. Try a dermatologist-formulated non-soap cleanser like these two and you'll never go back. Cetaphil is an amazing product , it is completely non-alkaline and fragrance free. Cetaphil is low lathering, but you still feel like it's doing it's job on you.

Some more tips for washing your face- Massage lather gently onto your face with your hands. Rinse completely with warm water and a clean wash cloth. Blot dry with a towel. On to step 2.
